Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp instant yeast
- 1 1/4 cups warm milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
Instructions
- Melt butter in a small pan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes. Set aside to cool. Warm the milk to about 110°F.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, and a pinch of salt. Add warm milk and half of the garlic butter. Mix into a sticky dough and knead 5–7 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, divide into 12 balls, and arrange in a greased baking dish. Let rise again for 30 minutes. Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes. Brush with remaining garlic butter and serve warm.
Notes
Use whole milk for richer dough. Add chopped herbs or cheese for variation. Place dough near a warm oven for faster rising.
