- 100g unsalted butter
- 150g sugar (mix of caster and brown)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 100g plain flour (sifted)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper and gather ingredients.
- Melt butter and dark chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy (2-3 minutes with a hand mixer).
- Gently fold in melted chocolate, then add flour and mix until combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter onto tray, spacing apart. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges set and centers are soft. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa for richness. Avoid overbaking for a gooey center. For extra fun, add white chocolate chunks or chopped nuts.
