Description

This Egg Roll in a Bowl is a quick, flavorful one-pan dinner that’s perfect for busy parents. Packed with veggies, protein, and bold Asian-inspired flavors, it’s a healthier take on classic egg rolls—without the mess!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 medium head of cabbage, thinly sliced (or coleslaw mix)
  • 2 medium carrots, shredded
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice cabbage and shred carrots. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground turkey for 5–6 minutes, breaking it up. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add 1 tbsp oil to skillet, then stir in cabbage and carrots. Add garlic and ginger for extra flavor. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil. Cook 5–7 minutes until cabbage is tender. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds and serve hot.

Notes

Use coleslaw mix for faster prep. Try ground chicken or tofu for variation. Add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
