Description
A rich and hearty pasta dish featuring tender shells, seasoned ground beef, and a velvety cream sauce, perfect for an impressive dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz medium pasta shells (uncooked)
- 1 lb ground beef (lean for lighter option)
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Cook pasta shells in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent and beef is browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in beef broth and heavy cream. Simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and optional thyme.
- Add cooked pasta shells to the skillet, toss to coat evenly in the sauce. Heat through for 2-3 minutes. Serve hot, garnished as desired.
Notes
Use lean beef to reduce grease and fresh cream for a richer taste. Slightly undercook pasta for better texture in the final dish.
