- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until evenly coated. Set aside.
- Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Place one slice of cheese on the unbuttered side of four bread slices. Add BBQ chicken mixture, then another slice of cheese. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side out.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Grill each sandwich 3-4 minutes per side until golden and the cheese is melted. Press gently with a spatula for even cooking.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve hot with your favorite sides.
